I am an immigrant, mother, wife, and a therapist. My journey to be a psychotherapist started in 2004 when I volunteered at Stanford Behavioral Science department as a topic coder for a wellness study. Seeing patients benefitting from receiving psychotherapy, I decided to take a new role of a psychotherapist. I graduated from SJSU in 2009 with B.A. in Psychology and started working as an ABA therapist for CUSD for a year before taking a break to raise a family. I rejoined my journey of becoming a therapist in 2015. In the meanwhile, I worked as a Teacher Assistant at De-Anza college for a Psychology professor to provide educational and emotional support to his students. I graduated from Palo Alto University in 2017 in M.A. in Psychology.
Currently, I am providing psychotherapy services in a private practice in Redwood City under Licensed supervisor Amy E. Sargent LMFT # 47022. My Previous work experience as a psychotherapist includes working at two non-profit agencies, Bill Wilson Center and Gardner Family Care Corp., where I provided assessment and treatment to children and teens (outpatient and school setting), adults, couples, families, and groups.
